Desktop Calendar for September 2018

The yellow calendar for September features this gorgeous photograph of a Raven in Lunana, one of the most remote and beautiful parts of Bhutan. The area is on an average above 4000m, with scattered villages approached by days of hard trekking through the alpine shrubland, where the air is crisp, thin, and heady.

The Raven is elusive even here, keeping away from settlements. With glossy, jet black plumage, and an air of mystery, it is no wonder that the national bird of Bhutan is associated with mythical powers, and regarded with reverence. Ravens are believed to be a manifestation of the protective deities of Bhutan, and often feature in legends, bearing prophetic messages and guidance during significant times in the history of the country.

Download the calendar into your smartphone picture gallery. To set it as your wallpaper, go to settings, tap “wallpaper” (tap Display and then Wallpaper on Android) and choose the calendar to make it your home screen, lock screen, or both.

Desktops and laptops

Click on the size you want. The calendar will open in your web browser. To set it as your desktop wallpaper, right-click the picture, and choose “Set as Wallpaper” or “Set as Desktop Background” or “Use Image as Desktop Picture”. To find out the screen resolution of your computer, check Desktop properties.
