The Bhutanese Soul
Upon the Royal Command of His Majesty The King, a special sand art performance was developed by the world-renowned sand artist Kseniya Simonova, as a tribute to His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
Kseniya Simonova is a Ukranian sand animation artist, who gained international fame after winning the TV contest Ukraine’s Got Talent. She has performed over 200 sand stories in over 20 countries, for audiences that have included presidents, heads of states, and royalty.
The colour Yellow holds a sacred place in the hearts of Bhutanese.
Bright as the sun, Yellow is the colour of our King, the embodiment of hope, strength and happiness, the soul of Bhutan. It reminds us why we are proud, and how we look ahead to a greater tomorrow.
With His Majesty’s vision for our nation in mind, this website describes Bhutan, her people, her hopes and dreams, and chronicles her journey to a bedazzling future.
